Elderly Transportation Program
 
Transportation services are available under The Older Americans Act of 1965. There are two categories of services:

Medical
These services provide travel to and/or from community resources such as medical facilities, nutrition sites, or other locations for the purpose of accessing needed services or carrying out activities necessary for daily living. Services are limited to individuals 60+ years of age. YVEDDI provides services to Davie, Surry, and Yadkin Counties. There is no cost for this service; however, service recipients will have the opportunity to voluntarily contribute to the cost of the service they receive. Revenues collected from service recipients are used to expand services to other clients. Services will not be terminated if a service recipient is unable to make a contribution.

Elderly Legal Assistance Program
 
Legal Assistance is intended to protect and secure the rights, benefits, and dignity to clients 60+ years of age. Services performed under this program are civil, non-fee producing. Examples are: Wills, Power of Attorneys, Health Care Power of Attorneys, Land/Deed Transactions, Hearing Regarding Public Benefits, Counseling, and Consumer Complaints. Services are provided by local, participating attorneys. YVEDDI serves Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin Counties. Donations are accepted, but services will not be terminated if a recipient is unable to make a contribution. Contributions will expand the program for other clients.

Elderly Nutrition Programs
 
The Congregate Nutrition Program is available in three locations in Yadkin County and three locations in Surry County. This program provides a nutritionally balanced meal catered by Golden Corral. The clients enjoy a number of activities like field trips, seminars, bingo, health and wellness promotion activities, and just socializing with other seniors. The program is available free of charge to anyone over 60+ years of age.

The Meals-on-Wheels Program is available in the same locations as below. Eligible clients for this program have to be 60+ years of age and homebound. Homebound is defined as being confined to the home due to reason of illness or incapacitating disability. There is no cost for this service; however, service recipients have the opportunity to voluntarily contribute to the cost of services they receive. Revenues collected from service recipients are used to extend services to other clients. Services will not be terminated if a service recipient is unable to make a contribution.
