Volunteers Needed 2016

Recruits, places, and supports older citizens in humanitarian pursuits effecting measurable improvements in community life in Davie, Surry, and Yadkin Counties. RSVP serves to “engage persons 55 and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and to provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of volunteers”. RSVP fulfills this function by matching recruited seniors with service providers whose missions are compatible with these aspiring volunteers’ interests, abilities, and desired levels of challenge. RSVP provides enrolled volunteers with technical support, insurance coverage, limited mileage reimbursement, and recognition for their contributions.RSVP receives fiscal support from the Corporation for National Service, county governments, local United Fund and United Way agencies, and fund-raising initiatives.


We are in need of volunteers to help deliver home bound meals  at our Jonesville Senior Center.
We provide limited insurance coverage and mileage reimbursement.

Senior Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) volunteer needed.   Training is on-line and given through the Department of Insurance in North Carolina. You only need to be 18 years old or older.
